Why We Recommend It
The P226, taken as far as SIG takes it
The Legion series is SIG’s factory answer to the question of what a fully worked P226 looks like. The action is polished and fitted at the SIG Custom Shop. The trigger breaks cleanly in double action and resets short in single action. The G10 Legion grips place the hand higher on the frame for better recoil management. The ROMEO1PRO is a commercial-grade optic that holds zero and illuminates clearly in daylight. It ships installed and co-witnessed with the iron SIGLITE sights, so you have a backup if the dot ever goes dark. This is the pistol the Naval Special Warfare community ran for years before modular-framed pistols entered service. HAR stocks it because the DA/SA P226 is still the benchmark for a full-size service pistol done correctly, and the Legion RX is the definitive version.
For shooters who know what a P226 is
The P226 demands technique. The DA first shot is a different pull than the SA follow-ups, and mastering that transition takes dedicated practice. If you have that skill or are committed to developing it, this is one of the finest production service pistols available. Come in and we will put it in your hand and talk through what the Legion trigger does for your splits.
